Default Who is it?

Having read this again. Does this mean that Godwin means "mentioning of" or
("referrign to") the Nazis, not "calling someone a" Nazi? Most of the time
I've seen someone called one, not the mere mention of. If that's the case, I
may have missed the subtle distinction.

Pay attention, ignoramus: "Calling Godwin" is meant to put an end to a
thread, not asserting that anyone is a nazi. From Wikipedia:

"... there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion
forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and
whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever debate was in
progress."

There is NO intimation that the object of "Godwin's Law" is anything other
than an attempt to bring German National Socialism into a discussion.

Now that your ignorance has been fixed, in the interest of comity, I'll give
you one more opportunity to adjust your misplaced characterization.
