No, this difference is consistent across all brands. The $.40 is purely a
difference of 75mi.

Well, there is that, but 10 cents difference for different sides of a
railroad crossing? Exxon (not Texaco as I said before) versus Gulf in
07410

Sure, but it's still $.40 different 75mi away (and across state lines). Two
weeks ago the difference was $.10, about the same as the difference in gas
tax.

And have you seen this yet Keith? The dam stations are increasingly
starting to say 3.29 on the sign, you drive in and the pump says 3.49.

I have seen places (Kroger here is really bad) where the sign out by the
street doesn't keep up with the pump. There can sometimes be a $.05
difference between them. It seems they only set the signs once a day.

They guy behind the counter says that the sign price is the gift card
price. Looking back at the sign I see gift card price in little
letters. THAT ****es me off.

That would **** me off, too. In fact, I'd never go back to anyplace as sleazy
as SawStop. ;-)

Seems as thought this is becoming a Texaco/Chevron trend.

Chevron, here, is about as expensive as it comes. In Atlanta I usually go for
BP (none in this area) since I get 5% back (1% everywhere else) on my CC. BP
tends to be about $.02 higher than the no-names up there. Here I buy from the
no-names.

The other obvious "trend" here is that the price varies inversely proportional
to the distance to the university (stick it to the kids, and their parents).
