Not really. Except for your spindle gouges, used on a tredle lathe, you
really do not benefit from having razor sharp tools.

The one possible exception would be your skews. But even they do not NEED
to be razor sharp. Sharp, but not sharp enough to shave with.

disagree, partly with above - when you are working with rotten wood and
there is lots of tear out, razor sharp really helps. But for "good
wood", Deb is right - it's not all that important, really sharp is just
fine, scary sharp is overkill
