Maybe all those skyscraper in provincial cities were cardboard cut-outs as
well. There was no change their skylines under the Tories. Only Docklands
skyline changed as Thatcher ignored the rest and pour public money into
Docklands - 1/3 was public money - a whole new town complete with its own 31
station metro, while the likes of Liverpool can't get a few bob in
comparison to bring into use mothballed trackbed and tunnels which would
make great impact to the city. All cities can state similar stories.
