Following up - the only "solution" seems to be hit the photo's Share
button, add my own email address and then pick up the URL from the
email. Seems a faff...

I was caught out by the same thing: I had tested the one-picture system
once, and later, I tried to do it for more, and it wouldn't work, I
could only link to the whole album.

Your link above could be shortened by creating a tinyurl, that would
make it manageable.
