Default Door doesn't shut "right." New hinges

I have an indoor sauna -- not a hot-tub -- just a warm,
wood-panel room, rocks, steam (we don't use the steam).

Door to sauna is a typical household door, except it has
a veneer of redwood over the inside to match the sauna
wood. So, it's a bit heavy. Has been in place since the
house was built in 1970.

Hinges were pretty rusty, but we put up with them for
about 12 year. But last summer, wife complained. I
replaced hinges. Now, the door doesn't really close.

It is held in place by a magnetic catch. But since
replacing the hinges (brand-new), the catch does not hold
the door closed and said door "springs" open about 2
inches or so.

Almost like the hinges are sprung. Is this possible? I
could replace them, I guess, but they are brand-new and
the door is heavy and is a pain to deal with.

What's the thought?

Re-inspect the hinge mounting positions; you've got them a trifle off.
