the middle of a crowd?? I"ll be bet very few if any. Chances are the
"armed citizen" had a clean shot. Most "armed citizens" will be armed
with a pistol, which is more difficult to fire accurately than a long
barreled weapon. Add a crowd around the intended target and you have a
recipe for a major tragedy.

Not at the ranges that are you likely to see in this kind of scenario.
