Just because somone claims to have a "qualification" it doesn't mean
they are the be-all and end-all authority on a subject.

Indeed. When our HETAS engineer fitted our stove, he didn't line the
chimney - he tested the existing stack for integrity, and decided it
didn't need doing.


course the next step for consideration is to appreciate what the stove
emissions will be and how they differ to open fire emissions and the
effects they may or may not have on the "ok enough at the installation
moment" flue....


It's all been dragged out on here several times before so, really,
JFGI..
