These are 1/2" dowels, the other cab I tried this in had 5/8". I don't expect
them to break with the amount of load in a bedroom cabinet! And the design
allows for replacement with larger dowels, even up to 1" or more. Ever break a
broom stick?

The drawer appeared to be lifting against the top of the frame when pulled
out.

As the drawer is pulled out, the weight transfers to the front rail and the side
kickers as the drawer tilts.
