When I carry, it's because I can, not because I'm afraid of anybody.

What is wrong with the elderly carrying because they are afraid of being
attacked buy someone stronger than they are? Women shouldn't be afraid
of being attacked?

Those with nothing to fear have no need to carry, but I would avoid
their company as they are probably naive in ways other than simply not
paying attention.
