I usually hang the buckets from a fence that is in full sun. Duct tape
or inner tube strips on the outer bucket only with the openings down.
Heating/cooling will push the bottom bucket down and it just falls
free in a few days.

I pick them up on job sites and trash putouts. They get stuck and
folks pitch em. Waste not, want not.


Be careful....some buckets have doo-do in them. I warned you!


Chuckle. BTDT. I learned early on, as a kid doing construction cleanup,
that if the lid was pounded back on to the drywall bucket, DON'T PULL
THE DAMN LID OFF. Find another bucket or box to carry the sweepings from
that apartment out to the truck or dumpster.

I guess walking 100 yards to the porta-potty was just too damn much
trouble for some guys.
