you're unlikely to get a good warranty. And you are guaranteed to pay
more in a dealership.


Most dealers include an insurance type 'warranty' with reasonably recent
secondhand cars. Hoping this will exempt them from the sale of goods acts.


Have you looked at the small print of some of these warranties? Last
time I checked they excluded anything actually likely to go wrong.

shocked at the poor quality of the cars on all the forecourts.


Forget the claims they are thoroughly checked before sale. Unless this
just means a good clean. And exactly the same applies to main dealers.


Exactly. Virtually all of the cars I inspected had significant faults
which I spotted easily. Some dealerships didn't even bother to clean
the cars.
