So you don't track paint all over the house.

I have no problem tracking paint from stepping in drops on canvas, it
doesn't seem to absorb fast enough to prevent that. But I leave my shoes
(actually slip-on water mocs) in the room being painted if I need to leave
in order to avoid being burned by the laser beams from SWMBO's eyes.
