Actually I think it is you who does not realize that Huntsville is not
a very special case. The South is full of high tech areas. The Tech
jobs pay about the same in the South, but the cost of living is much
lower. Florida has a lot of high tech companies. Georgia has Georgia
Tech, one of the better Engineering schools. It also has Lockheed
Martin at Marietta Georgia. The Research Triangle in North Carolina
is well known. And how about Oak Ridge ,Tennessee.
