1/2 to 1/4 pea gravel ( no fines ) ....a 3/4 lift on top of the beds and
till to 10in appx depth.

( you can do it mid season even--sort of a "mulch" to inhibit weeds...till
under come fall )

In the area I cleared for a veggie
