Flagstones and the laying of

Front garden.
60 flagstones all 300 x 300 x 40 in Grey
Edging of either bull nosed edging stones at 600mm long OR
black/red/yellow (Whatever I can get hold of) block paving bricks
Might possibly be used as a temporary car standing occasionally but
more likely in the long term to be ornamental with a hole in the
middle for a pot plant to sit in (Drainage etc etc)
What would the group suggest as the best way of making them solid
enough to withstand such use?
40mm flags are not to be used for vehicular traffic, foot traffic only -
they aren't strong enough.
You need 50mm paving and they have to be laid on a solid bed of sand and
cement on top of 80 - 100mm of compacted MOT.
Also, is the area large enough to fit a car on? 60 square feet is borderline
unless you own a very smal car.
