Default Composite video from a Compaq Armada e500 to a Panasonic LCD TV TC-20LA1.

My first post on this topic was in this group at 2011-04-07 10:42 am.
That thread is stale enough to justify a fresh one.

Two questions.
* What is the best way to connect a BK Precision 2522 scope to the
composite video output on the Compaq Armada e500? Should just
one scope channel be connected? Should the two channels be used
to display the difference between the center pin and the shield?
When both channels are connected, the difference trace is a
non-repetative blur. "Digital Storage" mode fails to catch a visible
trace.

* With one scope lead connected to the center pin of the composite
connector and the shield not connected, these traces are produced.
The first is from the BIOS display. The second is from XDM.

To recapitulate the original thread, the BIOS display is visible on
a Panasonic LCD TV. The XDM display is not; as if not syncing. Do
the scope traces indicate anything helpful?

Thanks, ... Peter E.
