Which one of these is best for 1mm2 and 1.5mm2, solid-core, T&E ?

I'm mostly joining cables in 45mm deep, light switch backboxes, and
a few inside fluorescent light fittings.

The 773 are for solid core, 224 if you want to join solid to flex.

The wago site says "[773] ... connectors are suitable for ... solid
and ... stranded conductors". Why do you say "not for flex"? Is flex
not the same as "stranded conductors" (or is flex usually too fine -
they do say 1.5 - 2.5 mm2 for flex)?

It means it will take the stranded single core cables such as

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CA1dot5SBR.html

and the older imperial stranded cables.

It will not take flex.

And sorry about the email you have just been sent. It was my cat's first
ever email:-)
