Never had problems with "&" and "!" before.

Now I'm having problems with Adobe GoLive. Initially uploaded
site now gives me an out of memory message when I try to
open the "site" file. It has to be open to ftp to comcasts
server.

I don't know the problem here as I don't use that software.

So I imported that site into GoLive with a new site name.
Uploaded changes to comcast and that worked - the first
time. Now it looks, on my end, as if I successfuly upload
new pages, image files etc, but they don't show up when I
check my site and try getting to the new pages. All attempts
to get to them result in page not found.

I think it's because you are uploading pictures/files with reserved
characters in their names which either the webserver refuses to serve
up or they're not being saved to disk when you upload them. eg: in:

http://home.comcast.net/~charliebcz/...lCabinet2.html

there are pics like:

1A_Mallet&Squares.jpg
2A_CopingSaw&Hammers.jpg
etc.

they are not appearing because they contain ampersands; rename them to
something like:

1A_Mallet_n_Squares.jpg
2A_CopingSaw_n_Hammers.jpg

you'll also have to change your html to reflect the changed names.

Similarly there's a directory called:

M&T

which you'll have to rename also.

I think if you rename them, change your html and upload them you
should be back in business.

Damn I hate moving my wwing site.

Yeah. Looks like you've got a bit of work to do rather than having fun
out in your shop making sawdust.

Thanks for the info. Will file away and try to read up
on things.

OK. Best of luck with the move!

BTW, I like your work....what I can see of it
