Right. We've junked many an ink-jet printer.

Where you CAN save money is on the cartridges. Enough money to provide a
handsome dowery for an ugly daughter.

We just bought a set of ink cartridges (8) for the printer we use for
printing CDs. The set came with 8 bottles of ink and 8 syringes to refill
the cartridges. The whole thing cost (I think) $17.00.

These re-fillable cartidges, moreover, had special chips that fooled the
printer driver into thinking the cartridges were always full.
