Just curious, chalk board insets on doors.
I assume you used some variation of chalk
board paint, if so, what did you use for
applying it. I made a chalk board sandwich-
board sign for a theatre group and had the
darndest time getting a nice smooth finish.

At the request of the people who count, I put on 3 layers of magnetic
paint, which turned out very uneven. Then a single layer of blackboard
paint, which of course didn't smooth out anything. We will see how this
holds up, but I cannot realy recommend the Home Despot available
Rustoleum. Sorry.

I would have really liked to use the oak plywood as a front, but I made 2
unintentional openings, measuring the openings for the legs/locks in the
wrong direction. The left and right strips of solid oak holding the
blackboard cover the holes. All in all I'm satisfied with the way things
turned out because of the requirements. There is 1 screw in each of the
strips straddling part of the center strip. Removing them and the strip
on each side will give access to the blackboard. It could then simply be
replaced or left off.
