It's a shot of the feature ring on the lathe. I was making sure all the
corners of the segments were lined up before I started cutting. The
pencil mark shows they are.

If I were cutting you can see how the corners are removed exposing dark
wood, but leaving the sycamore and purpleheart in the middle. Remember,
I'm cutting at an angle not straight in...
