I use a stainless steel (SS) wire, plucked from a wire brush (held
with a pair of needle nosed pliers) to clean and clear the passages
(Venturi ?) in the carb. Look in the throat of the carb for them.

Perhaps even a wire cut from a guitar string might work. A carb
cleaner can then be used to blow the passages out.
