What for ?

Your choices are hugely influenced by what tools you have to cut it,
and what shape you need to cut it into.

Try Yellow Pages and look for a metal stockist, then go round and
scrounge in their scraps bin for a vey small number of quids.
Aluminium is probably your best bet, just because it's easier to cut.
