To escape the grip of a crocodile's jaws, prick your fingers into its

That also works for two-legged predators. A .380 works even better
than a finger.

The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing.

What is the right hand doing, pray tell? Nevermind...

A cockroach can live for 10 days without a head..

Some folks live a lifetime without using theirs.

The average person presses the snooze button on their alarm clock three
Times each morning.

A retired person doesn't bother with an alarm clock.

People say "Bless you" when you sneeze because when you sneeze, your
heart stops for a millisecond.

Our hearts normally stop for considerably more than a millisecond
between beats. Less than 5 milliseconds between beats is tachycardia,
probably vfib and fini if not corrected immediately.

In any case the practice dates to 150AD or earlier, and it is doubtful
that the Romans could even measure a millisecond, let alone determine
whether the heart stopped for that period.

PEDANT MODE

And no, I can't remember where I read that..
