Sorry, Mr. Politenessman, for thinking your comments ironic. I keep
confusing you with that other Steve B, the one who not just once, but
repeatedly advocated using a handgun pointed at the head to threaten
the
neighbor who complained about late night car noise. I think he went by
"desert traveler" rather than "pittman pirate." But memory fades with
age.

You have a much better memory than I do if you recall me giving
instructions
regarding a handgun in that manner. As a 15 year now holder of a CCF,
and
with some previous law enforcement experience, I seriously think you have
me
confused with someone else, or you are just plain confused. Currently, I
do
have three e mail addresses, all easy to find. One for my dish, one for
hotmail, and one for g mail, all different so as to channel the right e
mail
to the right place. Oh, yeah, then there is the strictly business e
mail.
No need to put that out except to business contacts. But, as you know,
I'm
not hard to find, even if someone wanted to say find my address and pay
me a
visit. If you do notice, I do post a valid e mail address in my replies,
something that a very lot of people here do not.

You have a great day, and do some reading and research to get your facts
straight.

Or not, and just continue thinking in error.

OK, thanks for the invitation to do the research. Here is part of the
thread to which I referred. (if you read the entire thread, you'll see
that you were repeatedly challenged regarding your friendly advice, and
repeatedly stood by it.)

...

My neighbor came over to ask me, if I could be a little more quiet when I
come home. Apparently, he doesn't like the sound of my vehicle coming up
the drive, or the garage door opening and closing. I get home about 3 in
the morning, I drive a car with a quiet muffler, and there's absolutely
nothing wrong with my garage door!

This coming from a guy with a stack of lawnmowers in his back yard, tarps
all over the place, plywood laying around. Basically, he has a dump! I
know one of the neighbors called the city on him.

Besides holding myself back from punching this idiot in the face, I'm
about to join the rest of the neighbors, in an effort to run this jerk
out
of town.

What would you do?

Go about your business as usual.

Unless you live in California, or some other state with highly
restrictive
gun laws, if he comes over again at 3 AM, draw a weapon and tell him
that if
he EVER comes over again, you will shoot him, kick his sorry ass, pepper
spray him, or all three. And mean it. Immediately call the police and
inform them what happened so that they will not get a call from him
shrieking and screaming. When they come to respond, leave the weapon
inside, and calmly explain what happened. It's even better if he knocks
on
the door, and the exchange of words happens while you're standing totally
inside your house. They will explain to the idiot that you DO AND DID
have
the right to shoot holes in his sorry ass.

If he's on your property, you got him. Just be sure to tell the
policeperson that he has made threats before and you were in fear of your
life. In some states, you can just shoot him.

All a little serious? No. You want to take care of the problem or dance
around it? The police can't/won't do anything. The justice system
can't/won't do anything about it.

Handle it like a man. You're minding your own business on your own
property
at three AM and this wack job comes over. That's enough right there.

I live in rural Utah, previously, Nevada. Concealed weapon laws and
"castle
laws" are pretty lenient here when it comes to defending your home and
family from people roaming around YOUR property at 3 AM.

Well, I will give you half a credit, Grasshoppa. You did quote the text
correctly and accurately. The important thing you missed is:

IF THE PERSON COMES ON YOUR PROPERTY, YOU HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO DO THIS.

Unless, of course, you live in Kalifornia or similar. In the states where I
have residences, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, this is entirely legal, and has
gotten people shot with little or no paperwork.

If you look CLOSELY this time, I stated it more than once during the
sequence of posts you quoted that this was the scenario only if the person
were to come on your property. And I would have no problem with someone at
my door at 3 AM doing just what I said to do in the post.

You can see a lot by observing.

Good work. You may leave now.
