Another flaw with the network tv news is that it has started using
"desperate for" where all that is meant is "wants". It may have
picked it up from the general population, and other parts of the
public may be picking it up from them. But the news writers and
editors and readers work from a written script andthey should review
what they are saying in advance, and use words correctly.
