Wiring a socket
Hello,
Basic question this, but I have seen different ways, so which is right?
When wiring a socket on a ring circuit there are obviously two wires for
each terminal. So when connecting should you:
1) Just push both wires of the same type (L/N/E) into the correct
terminal and tighten.
2) The same as 1) but bend over the end of each wire first.
3) Twist both wires of the same type (L/N/E) together and push into the
correct terminal and tighten.
4) The same as 3) but bend over the end of each wire first.
Also what are the advantages/disadvantages of each method?
Thanks,
Graham
