VANCOUVER €” A B.C. serial killer has been convicted and faces a life
sentence for murdering four people, including his wife and step-daughter.

A jury has convicted Charles Kembo of four counts of first-degree murder.

He was charged in the deaths of his wife, girlfriend, step-daughter and
a business partner between December 2002 and July 2005.

Following the verdict, judge Sunni Stromberg-Stein told Kembo he was a
"predator" who exploited the trust of the people closest to him.

She said she hopes he is never released from prison.

Kembo's victims included his wife, Margaret Kembo; his girlfriend Sui
Yin Ma; his 20-year-old step-daughter Rita Yeungl and his business
partner, Ardon Samuel.

Stromberg-Stein said Kembo is a "greedy, selfish and corrupt" serial
killer who the public deserves protection from.

The Crown accused Kembo of an elaborate plot to profit from taking over
his victims' identities.

First degree murder carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of
parole for 25 years.
