Default New Shower Head

We stayed at a hotel recently that had a Moen 3838 shower head that we
really
liked. See http://tinyurl.com/3xnma73. (I'm assuming that model is the
correct
one. It looks exactly like the one in the hotel.)

According to the specifications, the flow rate is 2.5 GPM. I really like
strong
water flow for showers. (How much water does a shower head with 50% of a
normal
flow rate save if you have to stay in the shower twice as long?) Some
shower
heads have the ability to remove the flow restricters for homes with low
water
pressure.

Is 2.5 GPM a decent flow rate for us old timers who like real showers, and
do I
need to make sure that the flow restricter is removable before I buy three
of
these heads?

If you liked it at the hotel, you should like it at home. I find though,
that water flow is less important than the water pattern. We have a low
flow by WaterSaver that I like better than most of the high volume spray
heads. Give it a try, the only way to find out how good it really is.
