Here is the perfect tool for what you are doing. I have used these for 22
years in
carpentry and cabinetmaking:

Maybe 30 years ago, but now that impactors are on the market, they are
absolutely TITS! My Bosch 14.4v Impactor batteries are showing their
age, too, and it's time I made the switch to lithium. (Tastes great!)

http://fwd4.me/Pce is the cream of the crop, impactor-wise. The Makita
has a very short nose for nice, tight spaces. The 3.0 AH lithium
batteries should outlast my nicads by 4x, twice in lifetime and twice
in length of operation. They charge in under 30 minutes, too.

I paid $215 for the Bosch kit in 2006 and this one is $260, delivered.
Not a bad ROI for the Bosch, as I'll prolly get $100 for it used. I'll
keep the $30 HF drill set, my old 14.4v Ryobi drill motor, and the
ancient 1/2" chucked B&D VSR for backups.

I frequently do decks 'n fences, and the impact is the only way to
fly. It made regular drills and screwdriver drills obsolete overnight.
They require 1/4 the effort to sink a 3-1/2" screw into a deck board +
frame member. Wear your muffs, they ain't quiet. They get the Binford
Tools triple thumbs up award, though. arr, arr, arr, More Power
