Not really. Tony was perfectly capable of accepting that he was wrong,
but he didn't see that it mattered. As long as he truly BELIEVED he was
right, at the time.

He always wanted to be judged on a moral basis, whilst the rest of the
country was crying out for him to be judged on the basis of competence.
