Ah, I'd welcome a good editing. g The second, "synthesized" phase in
almost all single-phase motors is usually weak and capable of little more
than helping to start the motor and, in the case of a CS/CR motor, to smooth
out the torque and reduce vibration.

Is that better? If not, feel free to correct, and I'll leave now. d8-)
