Special Netiquette for Binaries Newsgroups
Special newsgroups, mainly the alt.binaries.* hierarchy, have been set
aside for traffic in binary files, such as MP3s and JPEGs. Because
binaries are so large, they can cause problems for some users and
networks. Always follow these simple rules:

1.. Never post binary files to newsgroups that aren't meant for them.
Many network systems will filter them out anyway.
2.. Some binaries newsgroups have a companion newsgroup for
discussions, file requests, FAQs, etc. For example, the newsgroup
alt.binaries.pictures.fine-art has a discussion board at
alt.binaries.pictures.fine-art.d. If you find such a group, use it for
non-binary posts.

Tell me. Is it tough being a genius?

Steve

WTF? It was cut and pasted from one of the 100s of newsgroup netiquette
sites on the web. Are you new here?

No, he's not new.
But what possessed you to post a Public Service Announcement when no one
asked why his/her pics didn't show up in the group?
Your server must allow pics in a non-binary group, since you thought it
necessary to remark.
I never see them, nor the text of the message in which they appeared.

LOL....you'll get over it.

I already did.
