I believe that ASA=American Standards Assoc. – the precursor to ANSI
(American National Standards Institute). My guess is that the ASA
¾-12 thread should be a “standard” ¾ 12UN thread as listed in your
Machinery Handbook. Dremel made a small woodworking lathe (Moto
Lathe) with this mount and the plastic nose piece on their Dremel tool
is supposed to be that size. You can buy a chuck adapter:

one faster and cheaper.
