Double that number and you still don't have anything close to 1%. And
most c02 is stored in the oceans, which are huge buffers for all sorts
of chemicals. Doesn't it make sense that the system can adjust to a 1/4%
change in one of the gasses in the air? Also, isn't it more likely that
changes in c02 mostly from the vast ocean store house of c02. I suspect
most GW supporters live in big, crowded cities.

The change is not from CO2 gassing out of the ocean. About 2/3 of the
CO2 produced by fossil fuel combustion is going into the atmosphere, and
about 1/3 is going into the ocean.

The atmospheric CO2 gain is from fossil carbon - that can be tracked by
ratio of C14 to C12 isotopes.
