On Amazon search for Bosch RA1150 Centering Cone $8.99

Is this large enough to not go through the opening in a base base? It
would be nice for bushings and having a 1/2" as well as a 1/4" end is
a good touch.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. It has 2 ends for the 2 sizes of
bits (1/4 & 1/2"), and the conical flange to assist in adjusting the base.

I think that Gerald was asking if the maximum diameter of the cone is
larger than the center opening of the router base which you're
attempting to adjust.

Gerald, it doesn't need to be. The only time I think that you'd need
this device is when you were trying to center a base used with a bushing
or template guide. In that case, you just fit the router base with a
small bushing, center it using this device and then insert whatever size
bushing you need.

Never thought of it that way. Shows my body still works but my mind is
retired.
