I want to put a glass room divider between our kitchen and
conservatory.
We want to be able to close it also to get in and out.
The reason? To save heating. In the winter the conservatory gets cold,
also cooking vapour creates condensation (tho the open plan is great
in the Summer). We want to be able to still see the garden so we
really want glass.
The solutution needs to fit within an opening 1530mm by 2160 so it
looks like we need something cut to size. Sliding doors or a normal
glass door in glass suround, either would work.
We found glass sliding dividers on web (2 door double track) but seems
helluva price at £576.00 for DIY fitting. You have to buy glass for
front & back - so 4 in total. Here it is:-

Surely this can be done cheaper - or am I being unrealistic about
price??
We looked for wardrobe doors but found no clear glass so far.
Wickes have sliding doors to fit under height but too wide by 30cm or
so.
Could we cut their sliders down to size???
I wonder if we should buy sliding door gears and get 10mm (say) glass
cut.
Does anyone have any experience of this??
We're not completely hopeless but not not hugely skilled either.
Your ideas, opinions & experiences would be much appreciated.
