Maybe not. In the "auto Dry" cycle, the timer motor runs only when the
dryer isn't calling for heat. When the thermostat opens with the dryer
at operating temperature, the timer motor gets power in series with the
heating element. It it's open, the timer never runs and the dryer
tumbles cold perpetually.
