Very likely - though not guaranteed. Whilst most 15mm compression fittings
use 1/2"BSP threads, some use a finer thread - so the nipple may not screw
on.

Assuming that it *does* screw on, you will - as others have said - need to
find a way of sealing it, since these parts are not *intended* to fit
together. I would be inclined to use liquid PTFE on the threads.
