In order to get my Beckett burner to start on my oil boiler I have to
give it a little bit of a kick on the side. *I am getting a whole new
system in a few days because of the age of everything, but I would
like to not have to kick this stupid thing every time 20 minutes
before I need hot water.

Is there something I can check or clean off that might be causing the
sticking?

Didn't you ask this about a week ago? *Same answer apply this week as last.

There were a half dozen answers on 9/25.

I have a Burnham oil boiler with a Beckett burner on it. *The burner
does not fire up. *It just kind of buzzes or hums a bit for about 30
seconds then shuts off. *I am hoping I can get one more week out of
this unit because I am getting the whole unit replaced next week, but
I have a couple of cold days in the mean time.

Any tips on what might be the problem.- Hide quoted text -

Yes, I made that post however since it had a lot of different leads I
felt I should start another to focus in on the "wacking it". This way
people searching the groups could save a little time in the future if
they already discovered the wacking technique. Now people searching
can get right to Lefty's and Jimmy's recommendations for the solution.

Thanks.
