Bravo! Now to work on your sister and the accountant.

Gunner, who will be going to the SO tommorow in Bakersfield to get his
28th renewal. Having shot the course the weekend before last. High
score as usual...shrug.

Bueno, braggart.

Mine's good for 5 years, scored 99 written and one ragged hole on the
shooting! The one question I missed was about sight alignment and had two
typos in it. And, I just didn't understand what they wanted, I skipped it
with the intention of coming back then forgot to.

Ours are good for 4 years (I just renewed this year and they put
SILVER as my hair color, the blind bastids.) No exam or shooting is
required but they do require a basic handgun course prior to
licensing.

It was a 6-ish hour course and the instructor went over the legal
things about 4 times, then just wanted to make sure all of us could
hit a man-sized target at 15 feet. I had the best grouping of the 5 of
us (4 or 5", I'd only shot the pistol twice before, IIRC) and the
most-complained-about pistol. My little Keltec P-11 got the "DAMN,
that thing is LOUD!" award.

Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority.
It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard
the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all
ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to
be good masters, but they mean to be masters. --Daniel Webster
