Guess it depends on how much you are going to use it, and how in depth
you're going to get into scrolling. $300 should buy a pretty nice saw. I
currently have a Delta Shopmaster SS250, which cost less than $200, and
works great. The adjustable speed and easy load blade clamps are nice.
Like I said, not fancy, but for a beginner who probably won't be doing
seriously complex designs any time soon, it's fine.
