As a general rule, I resize my photos to 800x600 which is a good
compromise between image size (pixels) and file size (bytes). Irfanview
makes it quite simple to do, plus it's freely downloadable. Of course,
you already have an editing program apparently - I'm sure it can
probably approximate similar dimensions.
