Now I get to contrive an example:

Divide eight liters of beer fairly between yourself and *four*
buddies. Easy and obvious: 1600 ml apiece.

First, you'll have to find five 1600 ml beer steins...

Now divide eight quarts...

Why would I want to do that? If I've got eight beers, I don't have four
buddies.

I have eight beers!
