Why? Most delivery companies won't accept a claim if you wrote "not
opened" or "not inspected" on the note. Of course the drivers don't
want to wait while every parcel is opened and inspected... Getting
you to write "damaged" on the note seems a logical work around of the
delivery companies rules.
Most courier/delivery companies are complete ****e IME. I always sign 'U/X'
for unexamined, but I'm pretty sure they would try to wriggle out of any
claim any way they could.
Seems to me that theplasticshop.co.uk are trying to protect themselves and
their customers from ****e delivery companies who are simply unable to
deliver fragile goods without breaking them.
