I am about to order a sheet of 1500mm x 500mm (opal)

I don't wether to buy 3mm or 5mm thickness...is 3mm very fragile?
I would have thought 3mm would be fine...BUT...if it isn't supported,
might sag. 5mm is more rigid, naturally.
As an aside, avoid theplasticshop.co.uk. I bought a piece from them last
week. Strange...two days after I ordered, I received an email saying it
was on its way. It contained strict instructions about delivery; I was
to open and check the parcel contents before signing for it; if the
driver wouldn't wait, I was to sign 'Damaged'. Otherwise they wouldn't
entertain any claims at all.
Shortly after the email, I had a phone call from them: "Standard
practice to phone you in case you didn't get the email",. said the
woman. Same instructions: sign "Damaged" if not inspected.
Think I'll avoid them in the future.
