Default Strange observations during a power outage

I did put the "wear out" in quotation marks.

Having said that, after checking, my use of the phrase does
seem fairly consistent with most dictionary definitions.

1. To make or become unusable through long or heavy use.
2. To use up or consume gradually.
3. To exhaust; tire.
