Regarding your stripped out screws... you're not using one of those
new cordless impact drivers to assemble/disassemble your planer, are
you? I have a buddy that used an 18v Rigid on some of his tools, and
he kept stripping out the smaller screws - those drivers can put out a
lot of torque!
