Something of an exaggeration there. And the real point is that Reader
is free, so no-one has any excuse for not being able to read up to date
features.

It may be free, but the latest version may need the latest PC to work on.

But in fact it doesn't.


And not everyone uses PCs - or the latest one.

Quite. But the vast majority of computer users worldwide do use PCs.
And the latest ones are certainly not necessary to run Acrobat Reader.
